Tahiti

(Mini-Cake size shown)

This is my very favorite cake. So many beautiful elements: The two different coordinating main ribbons, the green eyelash string, the bold lillies, the antiqued letter.

Bright Colors Cake

(Simply Sweet size shown)

I was so happy my friend Danny asked me to make a colorful cake for his brother and sister-in-law's new baby, Addi. I used a very colorful ribbon, as well as a fun textured string and big, bright daisies. Amber made another beautiful letter to coordinate.

Pink & Brown Stripe w/ floral cascade

(Simply Sweet size shown)

This is a beautiful cake, made even more perfect by the GORGEOUS letter Amber made to match! I absolutely love the colors and dimensions of this cake. The floral cascade idea is definitely something I'd like to expand upon in the future.

*I've made this cake multiple times. See the following pictures of the duplicates.

Pink Ruffles

I saw these ruffles awhile back and have been wanting to find a way to use them on a cake. With a simple pink and white theme, I was able to make them the star. *Special thank you to Amber for sewing the ruffles onto the wide white satin ribbon with her sewing machine. I would have done it by hand, but that would have taken forever and not have looked nearly as nice!* Since the ruffles are so busy, I opted to use a simple pink accent ribbon in the center of the white satin ribbon, and embellished with a few tiny pink ribbon flowers. A beautiful 8" NeedleInAScrapStack letter is centered on the lower tier.

Pearly Pink

The pearl strand swag, pearl globes, even the tiny pearls in the center of the pink sheer bows make this a very elegant cake for baby Emma. Once again, Amber from NeedleInAScrapstack came through with a beautiful pink letter, incorporating the same pearl strand on the tag.

Pink Toile

Inspiration: Isabella by Glenna Jean crib bedding

This pink toile with light sage green and pearl accents was a breeze to make. One of the "cleanest" cakes I think I've done to date, and surprisingly inexpensive to make. Also another beautiful letter from Amber at NeedleInAScrapStack. She actually used the toile fabric! One of my favorite cakes.

*The following picture is of a similar cake, using the same design and toile fabric, but with black as the accent color.

Pink & Brown Dots - TopsyTurvy

This was definitely a "go nuts" cake. The feathers really bring out the fun in the cake's design, from the TopsyTurvy construction, to the ten (count 'em, TEN) different ribbons. I've been wanting to use this ribbon-scrap idea for awhile now, and the pink and brown theme really allowed me to get a great variety of styles and colors. Lots of fun.
